If you are serious about a career in diving a Diploma in Professional Scuba Instruction is for you!

Upon successful completion of this course you will be an internationally recognised PADI Specialty Dive Instructor and will be immediately able to apply your knowledge and skills in the dive industry, both in New Zealand and around the world. 

During the Diploma course you will learn how to plan and run dive trips, teach new divers, organise and maintain SCUBA gear, interpret weather information, and lead groups on underwater explorations. You will also gain a variety of other valuable skills such as Advanced First Aid, Retail and Sales techniques.

You’ll complete at least 100 dives, both in the Bay of Plenty and at other amazing dive sites throughout New Zealand. Our diploma students will do a couple of trips away to experience other New Zealand dive regions.  We encourage our students to come out on our weekend boat trips ( space permitting) and to observe and assist on Open Water courses throughout the year  to get exposure to life  as a dive instructor. By the time you graduate you will have the confidence and experience to start your career in the dive industry.
