Padi Open Water Diver (group course inc e learning)
The PADI open water course is made up of 4 sections
Online eLearning – We will issue you with an eLearning key. This will allow you to complete the theory portion of the course online in your own time. – Please ensure the eLearning is completed (and uploaded to PADI) before you attend the pool session
Confined water (pool) session – We will spend the two days in our indoor heated pool learning the skills you need to become an Open water diver.
Open Water 1 & 2 (lake) session – Our first two open water dives will be done at Lake Rotoma, this site has been chosen for its suitability as a training site that is able to be used in almost all weather conditions.
Open Water 3 & 4 (boat) session – Our last two open water dives will be in the ocean (weather dependant – we have the option to finish off the training at the lake if we are unable to get out on the boat) we typically use a sheltered side of Motiti Island, or Rabbit Island as our training sites.
For your practical sessions (Pool, Lake, Boat) we provide all the diving equipment you require, with the exception of a mask and snorkel (as this is a personal fit item). Please ensure you bring the following with you:

Covid-19 Vaccination Policy
It is Dive Zone Taurangas policy that we require anyone undertaking training or registering with us for a trip to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
We are taking this stance to not only protect our staff and customers but to do our bit in limiting the spread of the virus.
The long-term effects of Covid-19 and ‘long Covid’ on the respiratory system can pose a serious threat that can be detrimental to divers and while we respect other people’s decision, we do not wish to subject our staff and customers to any unnecessary risk.
If you enroll on a course, know that all our instructors and staff will be double vaccinated for both your and their safety and wellbeing.
We will require proof of vaccination from customers enrolled on courses and trips from 1 December 2021
We thank you for your support and custom during these challenging times.
